Strictly integrated with the refining activity of Saras refinery S.p.A., is the production of electric power by Sarlux S.r.l. through the IGCC (Integrated Gasification and Combined Cycle) Plant, which uses the heavy oils (TAR) provided by the refinery and produces more than 4 billions of kWh annually of electric power (a contribution equal to more than 35% of Sardinia annual electric power demand).
