By converting heavy hydrocarbons provided by Saras refinery, Sarlux produces 4,5 billion kWh per year of electricity, as well as steam, hydrogen, sulphur and vanadium concentrate. All the electricity produced is sold to the Gestore del Sistema Elettrico - GSE and covers more than 35% of Sardinia annual electrical consumptions.
